Liturgical Ministries
Liturgy is “the work of the people.” Following Jesus command, “Do this in memory of me,” liturgy is something we do. . .together. Good liturgy engages the entire community. In “Gather Faithfully Together” Cardinal Mahoney reminds us that Ministry in an area where the Churches in our country have taken the renewal of Vatican II to heart. The core of ministry is the assembly who accept the responsibility for bringing full, conscious and active participation to the liturgy. They are willing to step forward and proclaim a reading, minister holy Communion, sing in the choir, attend to others. All are welcome and all are needed!
