The small community is the Church in miniature when it is fulfilling
the four main activities of being Church.
1.Learning and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ
We come together to explore a variety of ways to connect our faith with
daily life experiences.
2.Christian Community
Faith and friendship grow through ongoing support and encouragement of
each other.
3.Prayer
Learning to pray for each other, the needs of our local, national and global
communities and learning new ways to worship God are central to being the
Church.
4.Service
This is our witness to the world. Each is gifted to serve in one way or
another. Being in a community helps us to recognize and use our gifts.
Are you . . .
Hungry for the opportunity to grow?
Searching for a purpose?
Looking to deepen relationships with others?
Wanting to make a difference in your life and the life
of others?
Small Christian Communities can help make this happen. In a society that
keeps us task-oriented and too busy to realize the fundamentals of life,
Small Christian Communities can offer us an opportunity to stop and reflect.
They are a place where we can deepen our relationship with God, discover
a purpose, learn from Scripture, and share our faith experiences. They
are a place where we can grow just by listening.
All of us are the body of Christ. Live out the commitment of your baptism
through participation in a Small Christian Community. Take time to BE Church
through the encouragement, fellowship, and support of others. Become ALIVE
in the Church, not just on Sunday, but also in your daily life and in Small
Christian Communities.
“ Make yourselves builders of communities in which, after the example of
the first community, the Word lives and acts.” POPE JOHN PAUL II
Acts 6: 7, 12-24
